How to enable the 'code' tag in the Neos Aloha editor

Many articles on this site are about code. I like to code an write about code. Sometimes I want to markup some code mid-sentence like composer update. And then it's nice to have a dedicated button for that in your Neos Aloha editor.

In TYPO3 CMS I always had a pretty much hair-pulling experience changing the behavior of the htmlArea plugin. Lines and lines of cryptic TypoScript and / or TsConfig are needed to get the thing to do what you wanted.

In Neos there is a dedicated code button, but it's disabled by default. You can enable it with a tiny YAML snippet:

Enable the code button YAML

So here I tip my hat to the guys and girls working on Aloha and Neos. Things like these put the fun back in writing for me. Thanks!
